BREWER, FLOYD E. - The passing of Floyd Eugene Brewer of Island View, NB occurred Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Floyd was 85. Born at Keswick, NB on June 16, 1928, he was the son of the late Henry and Frances (Barton) Brewer and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Floyd was a retired Auto-Body Repairman and was Anglican by faith. He had a passion for the great outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Floyd leaves behind his wife Leona (Kelly) Brewer; a son Greg (Carrie) of Douglas; sisters-in-law, Mavis MacLaughlin, Emma Edmondson and Barbara Kelly; nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Floyd was predeceased by three half-brothers, Donnie, Larry and Keith and two half-sisters, Henrietta and Yvonne.
Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Friday, November 15 from 6 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the Islandview Baptist Church, Island View, NB on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Rev. Paul Thompson will officiate. Interment to follow in the Dunphy Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society of NB.
