SPINNEY, Olive Beatrice- 100 of New Beginnings, Yarmouth, formerly of Lower Argyle passed away November 14, 2013 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Argyle Head she was the daughter of the late William and Annie ( Brayne) Hobbs. Olive was an active member of the Argyle Pubnico Baptist Church, in the past serving as a Sunday school teacher and active in community activities. She was also a member of the Lower Argyle Sewing Club. She is survived by daughters; Ena (Mrs. Floyd Higgins) Connecticut, U.S.A; Clara (Mrs. Larry MacKenzie), Lower Argyle; sons, Herbert (Odelle), Reading Mass, U.S.A; Walter (Cheryl), Lower Argyle; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband Keith; sisters Dora VanAmburg and Rosa Haverstock; Brother Walter. Visitation was held on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. from the Argyle Pubnico Baptist Church. Funeral service was held Monday, November 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. also from the Argyle Pubnico Baptist Church, Pastor Nathan Beebe officiated. Burial followed in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Argyle.
