MURRAY, SHIRLEY - Shirley Eileen Murray, 87, of Roxanne's Special Care Home, passed away at the Sussex Health Center on November 15, 2013. Born in Prosser Brook, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Hettie (nee Colpitts) Prosser, and wife of the late Harold James Murray. Shirley is survived by her son, H. Thomas “Tom” Murray (Lorraine), and her daughter, Debbie McFarlane (Jim); eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Besides her parents and husband, Shirley was predeceased by her sons: Terry and Mike Murray; her daughter, Patricia Murray, as well as several brothers and sisters. Shirley was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex, (506) 433-2133, from where visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17, from 6-9pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18, at 1:00pm, with Rev. Leo Gallant presiding, in the Sussex Select Chapel. The interment will take place at St. Michaels Cemetery.
