The death occurred peacefully, with his family at his side, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Saturday, November 16, 2013, of Ricky Pineau, loving husband and best friend of Cathy (nee Gallant) of North Rustico, age 59.
Ricky was the proud father of Adam (Chelsea) and Tyler (Ashley Stevenson); and devoted grampy of Hunter and Hudson. He is also survived by his brothers, William (Eleanor), Gregory, Willis, Francis (Réal), Paul (Sharon), David (Pauline); sister, Bonita Pineau (Carl); brothers-in-law, Mickey Gallant (Suzanne), Neil Gallant (Carol), Bobby Gallant (Anna), Lee Gallant (Karen); sisters-in-law, Susan Gallant (Dennis), Bonita Masson and Theresa Gallant; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Ricky was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Leonia (Gallant) Pineau; his sister, Rose Marie Gallant (Hubba); two brothers in infancy; father and mother-in-law, Lawrence (Baby Mosey) and Marie (Doucette) Gallant; brothers-in-law, Jimmy, Roger, Danny “Trout”, Weston and Allison; special nephews and niece, Kyle, Brian and Lisa.
Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Monday, November 18, 2013, 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, North Rustico, on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery. Due to severe allergies, please refrain from wearing scented products.
