Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital after a short illness, Mary Elizabeth Lawlor (nee Fitzpatrick), age 89 years. Predeceased by her husband, William Lawlor, in 1994, her parents, Thomas and Alice (Badcock) Fitzpatrick, her parents-in-law, Edward and Mary (Bartlett) Lawlor, her brothers, Edward (Nita) Fitzpatrick, Joseph Fitzpatrick, Tom (Theresa) Fitzpatrick, George Fitzpatrick, and infant sister, Alice Fitzpatrick. Her Brothers-in-law, Maurice (Phyllis) Lawlor, Tom Lawlor, Michael (Kathleen) Lawlor, Leo Lawlor, and Sisters-in-law, Laura (Jack) Fawcette, and Margaret Fowler. Her Grandson, Carl Bodnar and Granddaughter Terri Marie Lawlor.
Leaving to mourn after a long life as a loving and caring mother, her 10 children: Margaret (Ed) Bodnar, Bill (Majorie) Lawlor, Alice (Don) Robidas, Anne (Bruce) Wheeler, Edward (Cathy) Lawlor, Kevin Lawlor, Rose (Gary) Irwin, Thomas Lawlor, Peter (Brenda) Lawlor, Terry (Dorothy) Lawlor. Sister, Frances Lawlor and Sister-in-law, Audrey Fitzpatrick. Dear Grandmother of 23 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Leaving also to mourn many nieces and nephews and a circle of friends.
Resting at Moore’s Funeral Home, Bay Roberts, with visitation on Wednesday: 2 – 5 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m.
Funeral Service to take place on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. from Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Bay Roberts. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society in her memory.
