Harold Edwin Woodworth
Woodworth, Harold Edwin – 66, Tatamagouche Mountain, died suddenly at home November 17, 2013. The eldest son of the late Dorothy (Sutherland) and George Woodworth, he attended North Colchester High School and was employed as a heavy equipment operator by the Department of Transportation and Municipal Contractors (Dexter). Harold proudly lived his entire life in the family 200 year old farm homestead. He enjoyed outdoor vegetable gardening and proudly groomed the fields carefully around his home often with a favourite dog at his side. He drove only newer model Fords and detailed them regularly. He savoured homemade meals and was a regular at community suppers. He was a life member of Salem United Church Tatamagouche Mountain and was sad to experience its recent de-commissioning. He was an active and proud member and Past Noble Grand of Liberty Lodge 120 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF). He enjoyed a wide circle of friends and neighbours. He will be missed by his companion Hilda Swan, his only brother Gordon (Janet Fortune), Halifax, niece Kaela, Vancouver, and cousins. Besides his grandparents and parents he was predeceased by his niece Jenna-Anne Woodworth. Interment in The Falls Cemetery. Donations in memory of Harold to The Odd Fellows Lodge, The Falls Cemetery Fund or the Lung Association of Nova Scotia would be appreciated.
