Dad passed away peacefully, to be with the Lord, on November 19, 2013.

Bob was born in Halbright, Saskatchewan on January 1, 1928 and grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He served with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles and then the Royal Canadian Air Force. After leaving the Air Force he moved to Kamloops and met and married Patricia Clark; he then started his career, which spanned 35 years, with the Canadian National Railway. Bob and Pat raised four children; Bob loved to play baseball, hockey and was an avid bowler. Bob was a long time member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. His retirement was filled with travel, family times and of course, bowling.

Dad was predeceased by his first wife Patricia (1992).

He is survived by his wife Violet and his children, John (Bonnie), Bernie (Wendy), Becky and Tim, and his step children Bob (Debbie) and Dan (Lorna). He also leaves to cherish his memory eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, brothers Art (Mic), Grant and Chuck and a sister Diane Cameron.

Special thanks to the staff at RIH (5 North) and at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home for the excellent care and compassion they showed Dad and the family.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Community Church in the Fireside Room.
