It is with great sadness that the family of Maria Catharina Stuckless announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, on Wednesday, November 20th, 2013, at the age of 70 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband; Jack, her siblings: Gerard Smits, Leo (Hanny) Smits, both of the Netherlands, Gerda Plink of Saybrook, U.S.A, her sister-in-law Chrestel Smits of the Netherlands; Maria was predeceased by her son John "Kirby" Stuckless, her parents, Johannes & Geertrudel Smits, her brothers: Karel Smits and Johan Smits and sister-in-law Ria Smits. Also leaves to mourn her nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends. As for Maria's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place on Sunday, November 24th, 2013, at 2 p.m., Major Frank Johnston officiating with a reception to follow at 4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 68, Pasadena, NL.
