Pynn, Irene Mae, 82, Bible Hill, passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late John and Irene (Hafey) MacKenzie. Irene was a quiet and compassionate women who liked to laugh and always look for the good in people. Her passion in life was with loving her family, serving her God Jehovah and creating in the kitchen.
She is survived by sons, Murray “Manny” (Rita), William (Jean), David (Janice); daughter Doris Furlotte; five grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister Eleanor Pynn; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Murray L. Pynn; daughter Tanya and a brother John.
No visitation by family request. Arrangements are under the direction of Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro from where funeral service will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 26th at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in the Robie Street Cemetery, Truro. Family flowers only. Donations in Irene’s memory may be made to the S.P.C.A. Truro.
