Faulkner, H. Le-Roy - age 80, of Upper Economy, Colchester Co. passed away Wednesday, November 20th, 2013 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro after a brief illness with cancer. Dad, Papa, Brother, Uncle Le-Roy, friend, loved and was loved by everyone who knew him. He will be missed by us all. The beach just won't be quite the same. Born at “The Farm”, Upper Economy in 1933, he is survived by sons, Stephen, Bass River; Kevin, Halifax; grandson, James, Truro; and sisters, Beryl, Sackville, NB; Mary, Upper Economy. He was predeceased by his father Leonard; mother, Sarah (Lewis); his loving wife, Florence Caroline (Durning); his youngest son, Mitchell Dean; step-daughter Wendy Leigh; as well as brothers, Lewis, Cameron and Pursel; a sister, Ruby Lane. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who flocked to Le-Roy’s side during his brief illness. A special thanks to the staff of E2, Colchester Hospital for their exemplary care and kindness, and to his companion of the past several years, Evelyn Graham. A private family burial will be held at the Economy Cemetery on Monday, November 25, 2013, to be followed by a ‘Celebration of his Life’ at 1 p.m. at the Economy Recreation Centre.
