The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, of Joseph "Leo" Gaudet of Miscouche, aged 77 years. Leo was born on July 10, 1936, in Miscouche to his late parents Anthony and Eliza (nee Gallant) Gaudet. Beloved husband of Marjorie (nee Grady) Gaudet and loving father of Dwane MacNeill of Summerside and Janice Goddard of Winnipeg, MB. Also lovingly remembered by his granddaughter Bethany MacNeill of Ottawa, ON., along with numerous nieces and nephews. Survived by the following brothers and sisters: Ida (Lou) Croken, Edna Haining, Clarence, Rose (Gary) Atcheson, Joseph, Delima Vatamaniuck, Martin, Loretta Gaudet, Clifford, Edie (Wayne) MacDonald and Linda (Ken) Sterling and also brothers-in-law James Wyatt, Grant (Lynnie) Grady, Benny (Eleanor) Grady and Stewart Grady. Besides his parents, Leo was predeceased by his sisters Loraine Wyatt and Nel (Carl) Fitzpatrick, sister-in-law Audrey Gaudet and brother-in-law Fred Haining. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside, until Monday, Nov. 25, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche, for a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in Leo's memory to St. John the Baptist Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
