HOPPER, ROY C - Roy C. Hopper, 77, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, November 21, 2013. Born in Lewisville, he was the son of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Capson) Hopper. Roy was retired from Commercial Sales with over 50 years service. He attended the former St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church and was a member of Moncton UCT #1310. Roy loved to fish, especially fly fishing for salmon on “The Bartibog”, enjoyed golfing at Lakeside Golf & Country Club, bird watching, reading, listening to music, watching all sports on TV, politicking and socializing with his friends and spending quality time with his family. Roy will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 48 years, Juanita (Taddy) (Wilbur) Hopper; precious daughters, Stephanie Hopper (Pablo Vergara) of Moncton, Melanie Hopper (Alireza Ziai) of Luxembourg, Natalie Hopper of Moncton; cherished grandchildren, Mateo, Gabriela, Reza and Heris; brother, Robert (Bob) Hopper (Rachel / Angel) of Moncton; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, Botsford Street, on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 11:00 am, Rev. Allison Carroll officiating. Reception in the Parish Hall following the Mass. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In Roy’s memory, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association or a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
