It is with heavy hearts the family of Mary Edwina Bezenar Crittenden regrets to announce her sudden but peaceful passing on Nov. 24, 2013, at home.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Ann Margaret MacDonald.
Mary was a devoted mother, who devoted her life not only to caring for her children by also to many others. She will be remembered by many for her wonderful homemade cookies and treats.
Mary is survived by her husband, Joseph MacLeod; daughters, Mary Lynne Crittenden (Ashley Tobin), Sydney, Ann Louise Donovan, Dartmouth; son, Dakota MacLeod, at home; sisters, Karen (Brian) MacEachern, New Waterford, Catherine (Wade) Sturge, Sackville, Heather Bezenar, Alberta, Sandra Bezenar, Dartmouth and granddaughters, Marissa and Gabriella. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brother Donald.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, at 2 p.m. at St. Theresa’s Church with Rev. Jim Oliver officiating. Interment at St. Anthony Cemetery, Glace Bay.
