Peter St. Armour
ST. AMOUR, PETER A. - 1945 - 2013 - Peter St. Amour of Riverview passed away at The Moncton Hospital on November 26, 2013. Born in Montreal, QC, he was the son of the late George and Lucille St. Amour (Rollin). Peter was a sports fan and competitive athlete in his day. He enjoyed playing hockey and baseball and also played for the Montreal Junior Allouttes. Being a true outdoorsman, he loved hunting, snowmobiling, four wheeling, and salmon fishing with his good friend and neighbour Claude. Sharing that passion with others, he was an instructor for the hunters safety course. Time spent at home working alongside his wife in the garden were cherished moments for him. An excellent woodworker and carpenter, he was always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbours and friends. Peter had an extensive career with CN, having retired as a supervisor with Supply and Management after 40 years of service. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 34 years, Mabel, sister, Louise St. Amour of Montreal, and his beloved cats, Peewee and Rocky. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, André.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Thursday from 7 to 9pm. A service celebrating Peter’s life will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel at 11am on Friday, November 29, 2013 with Carmen Schofield officiating. The interment will take place in Highland Cemetery, Baddeck, NS. Donations made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Oncology Unit or the memorial of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
