Grace P. Hoskins, beloved wife of the late John Hoskins of Homewood, IL, USA, passed away at the Ingalls Hospital Hospice Unit on November 21, 2013. She was 93 years of age. Grace was born on November 20, 1920, the only daughter of James Cook and Edna Howatt. She grew up in Carleton Siding, P.E.I. with her late brothers, Frank, Fenton and Stanley. Grace left her Island home as a young woman and married her first husband, Art Chilcott, in 1942. They lived in Western Canada and the Yukon territories and then Chicago, Il. In June 1957 Grace married John Hoskins of Dolton, Il. They resided in the Dolton and Homewood communities, near Chicago where they lived and active happy life for several years. They visited P.E.I. every summer for many years where they would enjoy the company of family and friends. Grace was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Homewood, Il. She is survived by her many nieces and nephews on P.E.I. and other Canadian provinces, as well as Oregon and Alaska, and her special friends Tom and Carol Vanderlee and their children of Dolton, Il. Interment took place on Monday, Nov. 25, at Cedar Park Cemetery, Calumet Park, Il. She would want her family to remember the memories and time they shared, as we celebrate her life and know that she has gone peacefully to her heavenly Father, after a long and full life.
