With heavy hearts and profound sadness the family of Neil Stuart MacLeod announce his passing on Nov. 25, 2013.
Born in Halifax on June 19, 1986, Neil was the only son of Douglas and Wilma (MacMullin) MacLeod.
He attended Mary Lawson Elementary school in Dartmouth and was a graduate of Prince Andrew High School. A loving and caring son, brother, uncle and grandson. Always a free spirit, he had many interests, including baseball, hockey and sports in general. He was happiest strumming his guitar and jamming with his friends. Neil enjoyed time spent with his nephew Connor, walking on the beach at Grampies in Beaver Cove.
Besides his parents, Neil is survived by his only sister, Emily (Greg) Gill of Stratford, P.E.I. and their sons Connor and Liam, and grandmother, Betty (Doris) MacMullin, of Beaver Cove. Neil will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Neil was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Michael MacMullin on Oct. 3, 2013, as well as paternal grandparents, Donnie and Margaret MacLeod.
There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Andrew’s Church, Boisdale on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at 11a.m. with Fr. Paul Abbass officiating. Interment to take place beside his grandfather Michael in St. Andrew’s Cemetery Boisdale, immediately
following the funeral service.
