LOCKHART, JOYCE R. - Joyce R. Lockhart, 88, of Moncton, with loving family members at her side, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, November 27, 2013. Born in Campbellton, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Mary “Mamie” (Firth) Malcolm. Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and a former cosmetician. She was Past President of the Ladies Auxillary, Moncton Legion Branch #6, Past Provincial President of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxillary, Past President of the Ladies Auxillary of Campbellton Legion Branch #19, Royal Canadian Legion, former volunteer for the Red Cross with 55 years service and was a Veteran of WWII having served with the CWAC. Joyce will be sadly missed by her children, David of Edmonton, Phyllis Steeves (Mike) of Dorchester, Robert “Andy” (Wanda) of Oromocto, Shelley Lewis (Ed) of Musquodoboit Harbour, Jeannie Lockhart (Shayna) of Moncton, Jean Stevens of Saint John; daughters-in-law, Theresa Boucher and Margie Lockhart; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; sister, Madge Butler of Glencoe; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles (1967); sons, James, Bernard and Maynard; one infant daughter; three sisters and two brothers; son-in-law, Melvin Stevens.
Resting at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) with no visiting hours by personal request. Moncton Legion Branch #6 Memorial Service at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Interment, Campbellton Rural Cemetery.
