Former broadcaster, publisher and journalist, Colin Campbell Jamieson passed peacefully away in the presence of his family and friends, Thursday, November 28, 2013, at the age of 86. He was predeceased by his loving wife Joan (nee Squires), his parents Charles and Isabella (nee Bennett), his brothers Donald and Hubert, and his sisters Norma Robson and Betty Levers. Leaving to mourn his daughters Glenna (Sam English), Nancy (Raymond Plourde), and Robyn; grandchildren Colin English and Danielle Plourde; his brother Basil Jamieson (Lorna), and a large circle of family and friends. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to Dr. Roger Butler and the staff at the Ross Family Medicine Centre for their many years of support, helping to keep Dad at home as long as possible. Also thanks to the staff of 4B North at the Health Sciences Centre and the staff at St. Patrick's Mercy Home for all their care and support. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Sunday and Monday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. As an expression of sympathy, charitable donations in Colin's memory may be made to the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and the Alzheimer's Society.
