WARD, MURRAY VERNON - The passing of Murray Vernon Ward of Fredericton, NB, husband of Dorothy (Currie) Ward occurred on Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on May 6, 1931 in Williamsburg, NB, he was the son of the late Robert and Florence (Keenan) Ward. He was a Custodian at UNB for 43 years. Murray loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. In addition to his wife, Murray is survived by his children, Vernon Ward (Hazel), Valerie King (Paul), David Ward (Marie), Gerald Ward (Mary), Kenny Ward (Sheri), Marilyn Cleveland (Danny) and Andrew Ward (Tina); grandchildren, Robbie Ward (Tammy), Jeannie Ward (Andrew), Joey King (Sarah), Jason King (Kayla), Sandy Ward (Corey), Kimberly Campbell (Adam), Alan Ward (Kristen), Jillian Cleveland, Linea Ward, Erin Pelz, Elliott Ward, Vincent Ward and Lisa Norrad; great grandchildren, Josh Ward (Jenna), Brandon Ward, Kyle Ward, Rebecca King, Olivia King, Scott King, Jaxon King, Tayah Gallagher, Esther Dow, Victoria Dow, Sylvia Dow, Deacon Ward, Josef Pelz and Emerson Norrad; brother, Robert "Chic" Ward (Dorothea); several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson, Kevin Cleveland; sister, Hazel Kerr and brother, Albert Ward.
Although there will be no public visitation the Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 2 pm with Pastor Terry Messer officiating. Interment will take place in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Lincoln, NB.
