SHARON HERMAN

Born In: Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Born: August 18th, 1949

Passed in: Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada
Passed on: December 3rd, 2013

On Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013, Sharon Louise Herman passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side.

Sharon was born on August 18th, 1949 in Victoria, B.C. From a very young age, mom began travelling throughout BC and lived wherever her dad sought work as a carpenter. We believe this is where her love of travelling began. After raising her two daughters and completing her Nursing Degree, she decided that it would be a great opportunity to do what she loved best, which was to continue on with her nursing career while travelling throughout the United States. Her work took her to Hawaii, Galveston, New Orleans and Lovelock. In 2001, Sharon met the love of her life, Reynald, and made the decision to move back to Kamloops to be closer to her family and friends. Sharon's passions were nursing and caring for others, so it was no surprise that she found work in Kamloops at Pine Grove Care Centre where she worked until her health prevented her from doing what she loved the most.

Sharon survived by her "hunny", husband Reynald, her daughters Jeanette (Lyle) Melnychuk, Michelle (Tim) Simpson and step-son Dan (Jennifer) Herman and her grandchildren Alexa, Lindsay, Justin, Bryson and Bohyn. She also is survived by her numerous nieces and nephews, brother and sister-in-laws and her extended family and friends here in Canada and the United States.

Mom was a member of the Catholic Women's League for 44 years and this is where many of her life-long friendships were made and continued today.

Our family would like to thank Dr. Howie for his care and compassion for our mom.

Friends or family wishing to pay their respects, may do so by viewing on Sunday, December 8th, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour Street.

Prayers will be recited at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Sunday, December 8th. at 7:00 p.m. and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 9th. at 11:00 a.m. with Father Peter Nguyen as Celebrant. Cremation will follow.

There will be a reception in the Parish Centre to gather and share memories of our Mom and Baba.

Should friends so desire, donations in Sharon's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
