GAUDET, ARISTIDE - Aristide Gaudet, 89, of O’Bon Soins, Shediac and formerly of Residence Joseph LeBlanc, Shediac, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC on December 9th, 2013. Born on July 2nd, 1924 in Shediac, he was the son of the late Adolphe and Lydia (Hebert) Gaudet. Prior to his retirement, he worked for CNR as a carmen in the main shop for over 38 years. Aristide was a hardworking family man, enjoyed watching hockey and woodworking in his shop. He is survived by his two children: Gilles Gaudet (Marlene) of Moncton and Lise-Anne Leger (Michel) of Shediac; three sisters: Séraphine LeBlanc (late Émile) and Andréa Arsenault all of Shediac and Léa Brown (Léo) of St-Lambert, QC; one brother, Edgar Gaudet (Yollande) of Halifax; four grandchildren: Christine, Colin, Natalie and Justin; several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Lilianne (Richard) (1997) and by two brothers: Emile and Ulric.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main Street, Shédiac (532-3297) on Wednesday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Joseph R.C. Church, Shediac, on Thursday, December 12th, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. In memory of Aristide, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) or to the IWK Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated.
