Robert "Bob" Hawkes, 80 years of age, of Warren, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2013. Born in Amherst he was a son of the late Leon & Martha (Richards) Hawkes.
Robert worked as a vegetable farmer for many years. He operated the Farmers Market in Warren. He enjoyed Curling, and Genelogy. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved his tractor.
Robert will be sadly missed by his wife, the former Lois Harrison, daughters, Susan Saddler (John) of B.C., April Dupuis ( Don) of Moncton, NB; sons, Earl ( Shirley ) of Moncton, Brian (Susan) of Warren; sisters, Joyce Nuttal (Harold) of New Salem, NS, brother, Doug (Beatrice) of Amherst Head, N.S.; sixteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by , son, Stephen, sister, Maureen, two brothers in infancy.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church Amherst, N.S. As per Roberts request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Lung Association.
