Marie Mirwald, a resident of Seaview Manor, Glace Bay, passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2013.
Born in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late William and Alexandra (Hoda) Rozeluk.
Marie was employed for most of her life in the family business, Rozeluk’s Grocery Store, located in Whitney Pier and Sydney River.
She is survived by her daughter, Adrienne Cogswell (Allan MacKinnon), Leitches Creek; grandchildren, Josephine Clare, Sydney, Victoria (Michael) Donovan, Blacketts’s Lake, Colleen Carey, Sydney and Maureen Clare, Sydney; 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Rozeluk, Sydney.
Marie was predeceased by her first husband, Harry Bohaychuk; second husband, Zygmunt Mirwald; brother, Michael; and son-in-law, Philip Cogswell.
Visitation will take place at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Wednesday 1 p.m. followed by a service in the chapel at 2 p.m., with Rev. Roman Dusanowskyj officiating. Interment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
