Peacefully at Prince County Hospital "Gerard" John Benoit Gaudet (Joe), born Dec. 24, 1943, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013. Beloved husband of Jean (Harper) Gaudet. Loving father of Kirby (Teira), Ottawa, Ont.; Barry (Danielle), Ottawa; Rodney (June), Torbay, Nfld., and Derek (Katherine), Charlottetown. Cherished Grampy of Kyla, Emma, Isabella and Hannah and step-grandson Noah. Also survived by brothers Hercules (Irma), Cascumpec; David (Evelyn), Tignish Shore; Terry (Elaine) Tignish Shore and sister Stella (Leonard LeClair), Tignish. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Edmund and Alice Gaudet, in-laws Daniel and Thelma Harper and a brother-in-law James Harper. Visitation will be at Kinkora Place, Kinkora on Monday, Dec. 16, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and on Tuesday, Dec. 17, from 11 a.m. to time of funeral. Funeral will be on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at St. Malachy’s Church, Kinkora, at 12 pm. Interment in the parish cemetery. Donations in memory of Gerard may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Malachy’s Parish Cemetery Fund. Arrangements are entrusted to Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora.
