Les Buettner
June 1, 1955 - December 14, 2013
Les will be greatly missed by his loving wife Candace, children Scott (Jodie), Ryan (Erin) and Jennifer (Chad). His 6 grandchildren Elisabeth, Noah, Tyler, Lincoln, Micheal and Quinn. Les was predeceased by his Father Norbert, Mother Marian, Sister Yvonne, Brother-in-Law Allan and Sister-in-law Connie. Les was the eldest of 10 children, born to Marian (Dosch) and Norbert Buettner. His early years were spent in Marquis/Moose Jaw, and in the late 70's he moved to Saskatoon. He enjoyed a career of driving tour bus as well as driving truck. He will always be remembered for his distinctive laugh, which could be heard from any corner of the room. Les was a giving soul who greatly valued his family and friends. Les loved being a Grandpa, and will be greatly missed by his six grandchildren. He passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends. A comfort to all was the strength with which he accepted his diagnosis, and the faith that guided him through his journey. Thank you to all the caregivers, family and friends for your love, prayers and support. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on December 17, 2013 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 310 Lenore Drive, Saskatoon, SK. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday December 18, 2013, at St. Anne's RC Church, 217 Lenore Drive, Saskatoon, SK.
