It is with heavy hearts the family of Brenda Lee Holland announce her passing on Monday, December 16, 2013 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS, surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 18, 1949 in Amherst, she was the daughter of Arthur Holland and the late Marguerite (McNulty) Holland of Amherst.
Brenda will be remembered as an exceptional, loving mother, grandmother and sister. Her grandchildren were the loves of her life and she cherished every second she spent with them. Brenda enjoyed her family vacations at the beach, watching hockey and keeping her wildlife fed down at the bush. She will lovingly be remembered by her work family as a feisty, quick witted red head and mother hen.
She will be sadly missed by her father Arthur; daughters Meegan (Chris) Evans and Erin Hawkes; Sister Betty Anne(Sid) McWhirter of Jolicure, NB; brother Terry Holland of Amherst; grandchildren Pierce McCully, Kayden Evans, Kohen Evans, Jacob Blacklock; nephews Blain Holland, Jamie McWhirter and Evan McWhirter; great niece Jackie and great nephew Easton and numerous cousins.
As per Brenda’s wishes cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
There will be a gathering of remembrance at Meegan’s home on 14 Davison St. on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 6 pm - 8 pm.
Donations may be made in Brenda’s memory to the Lung Association or Cumberland Regional Health Care Foundation.
