It is with deep sadness that we must announce the peaceful passing of Essie Wry, age 94, of Sackville. Essie passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2013, at the Drew Nursing Home.
Born in Cape Tormentine, NB, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Mary (Allen) Hicks.
Essie was a Member of Main Street Baptist Church, a former choir member, and was actively involved in many church organizations.
She is survived by Tina (Allen) Burrill, Houlton, ME; sister Phyllis LeBlanc, St. Catherine's, ON; and nephew, Alan (Lorraine) LeBlanc, Fall River, NS; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Medley and nephew Calder LeBlanc.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St, Sackville, NB (506-364-1300) where visiting hours were held on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm. Her funeral service will be held from Main Street Baptist Church on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at 2 pm, Pastor Andrew Swanson officiating. Burial will take place in the Sackville Cemetery in the spring.
