MCDERMOTT, FRANCIS - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Frank McDermott which occurred on Thursday December 19, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1929 in Saint John he was the son of the late Wardlow and Marie (Albert) McDermott. Frank worked for McAvity's, Crane and Clow for many years before retiring at the age of 64. Frank's family, music and dog Lady were his life. At the young age of 84 he recently mastered the art of "facebook". Frank will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 64 years, Lillian (nee Stewart), sons Frank Jr. (Susan) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Carl (Brenda), Mark (Lisa), Darren (Bonnie Jo) all of Saint John, daughter Trudy Braman (Andrew) of Fredericton Junction, brother John (Doris), grandchildren Natasha (Tony), Amanda, Vanessa, Laura, Andrew, Ryan, Evan, Brad, Morgan, great grandchildren Ariana, Kacidy, Karley, Eva as well as several nieces and nephews.Besides his parents Frank was predeceased by his daughter Bonny Robichaud (Ronny), sisters Lorraine Hebert, Louise McDermott, Vangeline Kerr and brother Edmond.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). As per Frank's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service.
