McNutt, Gordon Burton, 76, of East Mountain, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre Truro. Born in Coldstream, he was a son of the late Percy and Florence (Staples) McNutt. Gordon was a woodsman and also did various other jobs throughout his life. He was overly kind to everyone he knew and also loved animals especially cats. He is survived by sisters, Shirley Edwards (Jack) and Ruth Sutherland, Truro; brothers, Walter (Mary), Pictou and Ron, Bible Hill, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Dorothy and Jean; brother, Fred; half-sister, Doris Brown. No flowers, visitation or funeral service by request. Donations in Gordon’s memory may be made to the Colchester S.P.C.A. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in the Crossroads Cemetery in Valley. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home in Truro.
