December 25, 1945 - December 23, 2013: Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit of the Leonard A. Miller Centre after a brief illness. Predeceased by her parents, Fred and Winnie Grimes and her brother, Owen. Leaving to mourn her husband, Tom; son, Craig Barnes (Isabella); granddaughters: Kayla, Regan, Syrianna (Nova Scotia); step-children: Cathy Bailey (Vic); grandchildren: Stephen, Scott, David, Krista; Tom Murphy (Roxanne); grandchildren: Anna, Thomas; Andrea Kavanagh (Dennis); grandchildren: Sarah, Jillian; Suzanne Murphy, Rose Murphy (Emard); sisters: Effie Grimes, Shirley Ball (Bob); brothers: Collin (Audrey), Joe (Mary), Barry (Ruth), Bud (Greta), Dave (Nellie), Ross (Maisie), Roger (Mary Ann), Tony (Cindy) and a large circle of relatives, friends and co-workers. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held in Grand Falls-Windsor at a later date. Donations in Gloria's memory can be made to the Dr. H.
