Robert Windsor

Chance Harbour Road - William Robert Windsor, age 83, of Ivey’s Terrace Nursing Home, Trenton, formerly of Chance Harbour Road, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013 with his family by his side. Born in Dominion, Cape Breton, he was a son of the late William and Charlotte (Fortune) Windsor. He was a master carpenter and owned General Builders Co. in Westville and worked as Building Inspector for a number of years. He was an avid boat builder. He was a dedicated family man. He is survived by his wife, Genevieve (MacLean); daughters: Theresa (Sid) Jordan, New Glasgow; Eileen (Richard) Bransfield, New Glasgow; Ann Windsor-Hall (Damian), Pictou; Stephanie (Wendall) Arbuckle, Stellarton; Elaine (Blair) Smith, New Glasgow; Rose (Andre) MacDonald, Plymouth; sons: Patrick (Brenda), Chance Harbour; Bill (Mary), Fox Brook; Robert (Beth) Egerton; adopted daughter Arlene Murray, Truro; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren; sisters: Joyce, Glace Bay; Dorothy Mackie, Dominion; brother, Melvin, Reserve Mine. He was predeceased by infant son, James Bernard, daughter, Charlotte Marshall, a brother and sister. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service by request. Donations in his memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
