WILSON, HELEN DELIA - (1918 – 2013) - Mrs. Helen D. Wilson formerly of Seal Cove Grand Manan Island passed away at the Grand Manan Nursing Home Saturday, December 28, 2013. She was born of the late Colin and Etta (O’Neill) Wilson in Seal Cove. Helen was faithful to the Lord and loved her family dearly. A determined soul that loved to cook, play school with her daughters when they were too young to go to grade school and taught them from an early age the important things in life. She could sew, and make anything from almost nothing. Later in life she enjoyed time with her husband Garfield camping in Oak Bay. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughter Susan (Herbert) Parker of North Head, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Garfield in 2001, one daughter Carol Ingersoll, five sisters; Josie Kelly, Frances Green, Mabel Johnston, Jessie Harvey, Ruby Wilson, three brothers; Delhi Wilson, Hazen Wilson, and Woodrow Wilson.
Visiting took place from Ells Funeral Home on Saturday from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service tokk place at the North Head Wesleyan Church on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 2:30 pm with Rev. Jasper Rideout officiating. The interment followed at the Maple Grove Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Ells Funeral Home Inc., 1199 Route 776, Grand Manan, NB E5G 1G2.
