McAVINUE, PATSY S. - Patsy McAvinue, 55, of Moncton, with her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday evening, December 28, 2013. Born in Gander, NL, she was the daughter of Melinda (Morash) Janes and the late Robert Janes. Patsy was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and enjoyed spending precious time with her family. In addition to her mother Melinda, Patsy will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 30 years, Dr. Thomas McAvinue of Moncton, her cherished children, Andrew, Allison and Grace all of Moncton, her sister, Gail Critch (Lorne) of Mount Pearl, NL, mother in law, Elizabeth McAvinue of Largs, Scotland, sister in law, Geraldine Doherty (Gerry) of Houston, Scotland; several loving nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her father Robert, Patsy was predeceased by her father in law, Thomas McAvinue and brother in law, Joseph McAvinue.

Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, (43 Botsford St.) Moncton on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 9:30 am with Rev. Allison Carroll and Rev. Douglas McNeil officiating. Reception following the mass in the church hall. Interment to be held in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, St. John’s, NL.
