Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, St. John's, on Saturday, December 28, 2013, Nellie Frances Rideout, age 94. Formerly of Port Anson, Green Bay, Newfoundland. Predeceased by husband Augustus (Gus) Rideout (2008). Leaving to celebrate her long life one daughter Gaie (Rich) Rubenfeld of Ypsilanti, Michigan; four sons: Dale (Ethel) Morinville, Alberta, Don (Fay) St. John's, NL, Lorne (Carol) Exeter, Ontario, Carson (Michelle) of West Brookfield, Massachusetts; grandchildren: Carson, Lisa, Elizabeth, Craig, Mark, Heather, Brett, Jordan, Erin, Jesse and Tyler; also 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Pastor Eric Goudie (Majorie) of Grand Falls-Winsor and sister Ivy Rose of Ocre Pit Cove. Many other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday and Monday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral to be held at Barrett's Chapel on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Internment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family would like to sincerely thank all the staff at St. Patrick's Mercy Home for their excellent care and support, especially fourth floor staff and recreation department.
