CORMIER, MARIE (MARY MODESTE LINA MITCHELL) - Marie Cormier, 89, of Shediac and formerly of Enterprise St., Moncton, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, December 30, 2013. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Alvery and Modeste (Robichaud) Mitchell. Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a former member of La Bonne Nouvelle Church and Highfield Baptist Church and enjoyed old movies, music, especially singing, and spending time with her family and friends. Marie will be sadly missed by her children, Rebecca Cormier of Trenton, ON, Emanuel Cormier (Francine) of Dieppe, Debbie Robertson of Moncton, David Cormier (Anne-Marie Caissie) of Shediac, Angela Malyon (Geoff) of Alberta and Michael Cormier of Moncton; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Emanuel Jr., Jacqueline, Krystal, Justin, Billie Jo-Anne, Jack; ten great grandchildren, Dante, Catrina, Kristy, James Jr., Aiden, Nadia, Zayna, Alexa, Brittanna, Dax; as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Marie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Emmanuel Cormier (1992) and her only sister, Rachel Collier.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 9:30 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 am at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Daniel Cormier officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service.
