Balicki, Joseph Francis

On December 14, 2013, Joseph Francis Balicki of Edmonton, Alberta passed away at the age of 83 years. Joseph was born November 3, 1930 in Fanford, Saskatchewan. He raised a family of five children with his wife Mathilda in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan where he spent his career in the accounting field. Joe and Tillie moved to Edmonton in 2001. Joseph was a devoted husband, loving father and caring grandfather. He will be remembered with love for his interest in sports, his light hearted manner and his ability to invoke a lasting impression. Joseph is survived by his sons, Robert, Bruce (Ann) and Gary (Maureen); daughters, JoAnn (Dan) and Diane (Darren); grandchildren, Paula (Spencer), Bobbie Lee, John, Alexander, Oliver, Rose, Levi, Matthew, Allyson, Robyn and Lucia (Ryder). He was predeceased by his wife, Mathilda; his parents, John and Mary; his sister, Helen Oleksyn and his niece, Sharon Kalmakoff. A Memorial Celebration Mass is to be held on, January 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert.
