It is with great sadness that the family of the late BILL SMITH of Marystown announces his passing at his home in Marystown on Wednesday, January 1, at the age of 72. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are: Wife - Mary of 41 years; Sons – Colin of Brampton, ON and Rick (Lynn) of Paradise, NL; Sister – Stella Ernest of Albany, New York; Sister-in-law – Theresa Smith of Marystown; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his Parents – Philip & Julia Smith; Brother – Jack Smith; Sisters – Phyllis Bowering, Patricia Smith & Mary Ellen Power and Uncle – Tom Flannigan.

The Mass of Christian Burial took place on Monday, January 6, at 9:30 a.m., from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown. Interment followed at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery. In Bill’s memory donations may be made to the S.P.C.A. or flowers gratefully accepted.
