Suddenly and peacefully John passed away at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
John was born in Vegreville, Alberta, as a young man he moved to Vancouver. Here he found his calling, he became an Ironworker with Local 97 until his retirement. Many of his projects included the Ironworker's Memorial Bridge in Vancouver, the Overland Bridge in Kamloops and many TV towers across the province.
He enjoyed playing golf, baseball and bowling. His favorite pastime in retirement was watching Wheel of Fortune nightly, all sports and poker.
John was predeceased by his mother, father and siblings.
John will be dearly missed by many family members, friends and all those who worked with him.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Royal Inland Hospital and his dear friends for their care and support.
At John's request there will not be a service.

I have left this earth and am travelling to a beautiful place. You may not see me but I will always be by your side. Take my advice and live life to the fullest and that is my Final Word. God Bless You All.
