William (Bill) Hogberg

William (Bill) Hogberg of Shaunavon, Saskatchewan and formerly of Orkney and Climax, Saskatchewan passed away at the Shaunavon Hospital and Care Centre on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the age of 74 years.
He was predeceased by his parents Arvid and Mabel Hogberg, sisters June and Margaret and brother Donald in infancy, father-in-law and mother-in-law Bob and Joan East, brothers-in-law Claude East and Melvin Larson.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by Marian, his wife of 46 years, son Dean (Tonia), daughter Jolene (Rocky), grandchildren Shellbea, Kayden, Randie, Samantha, Trista, Parker and one great granddaughter Molly, brothers Clarence (Donna), George (Pat), Dick (Pat), sisters Sally (Derald) and Helen, brothers-in-law Robert (Carol) East, Les East, Paul (Marcella) East and Craig (Deb) East, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill was born in Climax, Saskatchewan on May 24, 1939. He was raised there and attended school in Climax. Throughout his life he worked at various occupations until 1980 when he started with Patterson Grain in Orkney, Saskatchewan where he worked until his retirement in 2007. He enjoyed playing hardball, hockey and most of all curling. He loved curling, even though he hadn’t curled in years you could always find him watching it on television. He also enjoyed camping and fishing. He belonged to the Climax Lions Club for years and was very proud of all of their community contributions.
