It is with saddened hearts that we, the family, have to announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at the MacGillivray Guest Home in Sydney on Jan. 10, 2014.
Born in Poulamond, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Josephine (Marchand) Fougere.
She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Judy Babin, Arichat; sons, Douglas (Pansy) and Gary (Ellen), both of Sydney; eight grandchildren, Landrys' Doug (Amy), Chris (Jacqueline) and Nicole. Kareena (Brad) Deleskie, Michelle (Craig) Moffatt. Babins' Cora, Darryll, (Amanda) and
Martina and by seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, James 'Jimmie' Wilfred; sisters, Evelyn (Tom) Sampson, Anita (Velma) Poirier; brother, Joseph Gerald in the Second World War.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Sunday morning Jan. 19, 2014, from 12:30-1:30 in C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home, Arichat. Funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon at St. Hyacinth Church in D'Escousse at 2 p.m. with Rev. Angus MacDougall officiating. Burial to be held in St Hyacinth Parish Cemetery in D'Escousse at a later date.
Family flowers only, memorial donations can be made to the Parkinson Society Maritime Region, Heart & Stroke Foundation (N.S.) or to the Canadian Diabetes Society (N.S.).
