Victoria (Viki) Miller, beloved wife, mother, grandma and great- grandma, of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, passed away on January 15, 2014 at the age of 70 from cancer. Viki was born in Seattle, WA on April 21, 1943. Viki was predeceased by her parents, Jasper Dan Atkinson and Hazel Bess McDonough, and sisters Patricia and Carleen. Viki is survived by husband Gerry Miller, brothers Danny John, Jay, and Wes; five children Mark, Mike, Cynthia, Ryan, and Rena; sixteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Sadly, Viki's mother passed away when she was only 6 years old. She and her sister went to live with grandparents and aunts over the next 6 years before moving back to Seattle with her father and his new wife. Viki loved to sew both for people and, when her daughter became involved in horse shows, for horses! She took particular pride in seeing her work such as dresses and Halloween costumes passed down from grandchild to grandchild. She also loved to research family history. Her genealogy work connected her with many previously unknown relatives on her mother's side of the family.
The family would like to thank the Palliative Care and Home Care staff of Moose Jaw for their continuous assistance and caring. The Funeral Service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Tuesday January 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm. Bishop Paul Moore will officiate. Interment will take place at the family plot, Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa, Idaho. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to a cancer charity, such as the Terry Fox Foundation.
