BREMNER, JOAN E. - 1934 - 2014 - Miramichi - Joan Elizabeth Bremner, widow of the late P. Edgar Bremner, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home and formerly of the South Napan Road, Napan, passed away at her residence on Monday morning, January 20, 2014, at the age of 79. Born in Chatham, on May 23, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John (Jack) and Margaret E. (Weldon) Gray. She was a homemaker; a retired teacher, by profession; a member of Carmel United Church, Napan; a Life Member of the U.C.W.; a former Sunday School teacher; a member of Miramichi Area Retired Teachers Assoc. She is survived by one daughter, Donna Comeau (Donnie), of South Napan Road; one son, Robert Bremner (Margie), of South Napan Road; four grandchildren, Sonya Moran (Josh), Aaron Comeau (Katrina), Phillip Bremner (Kirbie), Cst. Megan Bremner; three great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Grady, Ava. She was predeceased by her husband, Edgar, in 2010.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral home Chapel, on Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at 2 pm, conducted by Penny Postlethwaite. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Miramichi Chapter of the Alzheimer Society, or any charity of the donors’ choice would be appreciated by the family.
