Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 of Mary Isobel Sage (nee Stuart) of Charlottetown, age 91 years.
Wife of the late Gordon Sage and mother of the late Andrew (Cindy), Roberta (Kevin) MacRae and step-daughter Catherine (Gilles) Fougere. Grandmother of Gordon and Robert MacRae. Sister of James (Ina) Stuart and sister-in-law of Elva Stuart and D. Alex MacDonald. Predeceased by her parents, Hector and Roberta Elizabeth (MacMillan) Stuart; sisters, Edith Joan (John) Riley, Kathleen MacDonald; and brother, Robert Alexander Stuart. Mary was an active member of her community serving on various volunteer boards including the United Way, Canadian Mental Health Association, Schizophrenia Society, and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation. Mary was a successful entrepreneur of 5 Croft House Gift shops. She was also a member of Charlottetown City Council.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel from where the service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment later in Wood Islands Cemetery. If so desired, memorials to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. Visiting hours Friday from 3 to 6 p.m.
