We are sad to announce that mom passed away at Pineview Terrace Lodge on January 20, 2014. Mary was born on August 27, 1916 in Carlton, Sask. She married Eric Brandrick in 1936 and together they farmed until he passed away in 1962. A few years later, she moved to Prince Albert and worked at the Marlboro Hotel. In 1977, she married Shirley Giles and they enjoyed two years together until his passing in 1979. She enjoyed bowling, shuffleboard and other Legion activities; fishing, camping, crocheting, board games and reading. Mary is survived by her son Russel Brandrick and his children Jason (Tabitha), Kristen (John), Jamie (Kandis), Tyler; her son Ed (Rosemary) Brandrick and their children Daryl, Tami (Shane); her daughter Irene (Irving) Feader and their children Maureen (Victor), Shannon (Mark), Laurilea, Melanie (Brad); her daughter Hazel (David) Brown and their children Wayne (Marcia), Bonnie, Kevin, Cindy (Jim); her daughter Lil (Reg) Garneau and their children Tracy, Kurtis (Melissa); her step-daughter Lorna Pollock and her daughter Pat Lynch; her 22 great-grandchildren; her one great-great-grandchild; her sisters Cecelia Arcand and Rita (Marc) Doucette; her sisters-in-law Willy Kometscher, Gertie Kometscher, and Gertrude Kometscher. She was predeceased by her parents John and Margaret Kometscher; her first husband, Eric Brandrick; her second husband, Shirley Giles; her brothers Frank, George, Ed, and Marcel (Florence); her sisters Dorothy (Alf) Ferland and Marjorie (Emile) Lanovaz, her brother-in-law Adrian Arcand; her sister-in-law Violet Bell; her daughter-in-law Agnes Brandrick. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 24 at River Park Memorial Chapel. Interment will take place in the Garden of the Last Supper, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Donald M. Moriarty, Funeral Director.
