It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of a wonderful and devoted husband, father, son and brother on January 20, 2014. Predeceased by infant son in 1976. Left to celebrate Derrick's life are his wife Cathy Ann (Fennessey), the love of his life. Cherished daughter and son Dana (Brad), and Michael who were his world. Loving and caring mother and father Mary and Willis Clarke. Dear brothers Ralph (Judy), Clarence (Debbie) and their families, and numerous other relatives and friends. In respecting Derricks wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. His remains will be laid to rest at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Outer Cove at a later date. In lieu of flowers those wishing to donate in Derrick's memory may do so to the St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery fund. Derrick, there will never be distance between us. You will never be forgotten, you will remain in our hearts and memories forever. We will always love you Dad. The heart remembers all the moments when a dad's love made all the difference.
