Velma Ruth Veeder
July 12, 1932 – January 13, 2014
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, grandmother and great-grandmother Velma Ruth Veeder on January 13, 2014 at the age of 81 years at the Union Hospital after a bout with cancer. Velma was predeceased by her parents Wesley and Mary Benson, Velma will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her sons Allen Veeder, and Calvin Veeder (Dianne), daughter Debra Bell; granddaughters Tanya Springinatic (Colin), and Lindsay Veeder (Jason); grandsons Terry Bell, Jeff Veeder (Natasha), Richard Russel (Dent); great-grandchildren Tenley, Izabella, Kaitlin Brooke and Kelsea. Velma will be fondly remembered by her brothers and sisters, Ronald Benson (Rose), Eileen Elliot (John), Esther Rempher, Eleanor Fennuik, Yvonne Simpson (Basil), and Bobby Benson; and aunt Annie Veeder (Bruvold); along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Providence Place and the Union Hospital for the excellent care of our mother. Family and friends of Velma are invited to celebrate her life at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Providence Place Chapel, 100 2nd Ave NE, Moose Jaw. Following the service a time of fellowship will be held in the Rose Room. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Providence Place or a charity of choice.
