STROM – Magnus (1925-2014) The family of Magnus Strom is sad to announce his passing on January 22, 2014 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current. Magnus is survived by his wife of 61 years, Norah of Kyle; daughters Diane (Ken) McMullen of Lloydminster, AB, Sharon (Lynn) Nelson of Kyle, SK; son Doug (Nat) Strom of Prince Albert, SK; granddaughters Lisa (Wade) Graham of Lloydminster, AB, Rachelle (Kirby) Wempe of Lloydminster, AB, Mollie Strom of Prince Albert, SK; great-grandchildren Brianna Wempe, Ryan Wempe, Mya Graham, Sophie Graham, Jase Graham all of Lloydminster, AB; sister Sigrid Pernula; sisters-in-law Maureen Cave, Clara Strom and many nieces and nephews. Magnus was born in the Horsebutte District on March 24, 1925 where he lived and farmed his entire life. Magnus married Norah Jones of Swift Current on October 24, 1952. He was devoted to his family, his farm and his cattle, doing chores right until his passing. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was awarded the trophy for Sask #1 non-typical Mule Deer Buck in 2000 when he was 75 years young.
