Greg was born August 25, 1958 in Dawson Creek, BC, the only child of Walter and Bernice Kaftan. He took his schooling in Bonanza, AB and Dawson Creek.
He moved to Edmonton in the 1970s and worked different jobs until starting his own business Aqua Vac Carpet Cleaning. Greg was a hard worker and will liked by all his customers.
Greg loved fishing. He would take the boys and the boat and head for the lake every chance they had. He was a scout cub leader and played softball for a few years. Two and one half years ago he was told he had cancer and put up a brave fight before his passing on December 28, 2013 in the General Hospital in Edmonton.
Greg leaves to mourn his passing sons: Michael and Victor, parents Walter and Bernice, uncles Buster and Ted and several cousins.
A celebration of Life was held at the Christian Life Centre, Edmonton, Reverend Gordon Powell officiating, on January 4, 2014.
