Leo Phillip Gould - 62, of Waterville, Kings County, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 26, 2014. Born on March 14, 1951 in Kingston, he was a son of the late Harry and Irene (Floyd) Gould. He was a long-time employee of Levy's Mill, Gaspereau and had currently been working for the past 10 years with Frasers in Berwick. He was a sports enthusiast and in earlier years coached youth softball teams. He was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. He enjoyed playing darts, camping and was known to "shake a leg" on the dance floor. He is survived by his long-time partner, Rosie Reid; his children, Philip (Tracy) Gould, North Alton; Darlene (Jamie) Kelly, West Brooklyn; grandchildren, Austin, Cameron, Wyatt "Sid" and Zoe Gould; a brother, Clarence (Charlene) Gould, New Glasgow; two sisters, Joyce, Trenton, Ontario and Marcia (Jack) Gould, Gaspereau, many nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Norma Gould and Evelyn Newcombe. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2014 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. Burial took place in the West Brooklyn Cemetery. A reception followed in the West Brooklyn Hall. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
