It is with shock and sadness to receive word on the passing of our brother, a son, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
Leo passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his residence in St. Catharines, Ont., on Sunday, January, 26, 2014.
Born in Sydney Mines on October 2, 1951, he was the son of Joe Rendell and the late Cecilia (MacNeil) Rendell.
Leo sailed the great lakes for the best part of his life where he made many friends.
Besides his father, Leo is survived by a sister Pauline (Garry) Simms, Sydney River; brothers, Wayne (Linda), Bras d'Or and David, Sydney Mines. He also leaves behind to mourn, his children, Raylene (Greg) McShane, Calgary, AB, Derek (Dana) Rendell, Mira, Leo (Darcie), Dartmouth, NS, LauraLee (Dion), Anderson, Ont.; his seven precious grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Also left to mourn his loss is his companion, Winnifred MacDonald, St. Catharines, Ont.
Leo was predeceased by his mother Cecilia; brothers, Gerard, Stanley and Joey; paternal and maternal grandparents; sister-in-law Miriam and his niece, Laurie Ann.
Funeral arrangement are under the care of Butler Funeral Hom, St. Catharines, Ont.
